One of the rich legacies of Kolkata's colonial heritage are magnificent buildings like this: the Hindu Hostel which hosts students ( Rs 100 (€1.30!) a night ) from the nearby Presidency College. The hostel counts Nobel Laureate, Amartya Sen and my paternal grandfather as some of their former residents. More snapshots from Kolkata to follow..
