So here's the thing about motivational speeches and quotes. They don't actually do anything. What I mean is.. they don't fix your problems; they don't create change. I can tell you to love yourself all day and all night for 12 years and nothing will change. You can listen to podcasts every day about how to start a business, and never start a business. The only thing that creates change is Movement. Action. Practice. Initiative. You have to actually decide you want to change, you have to want something bad enough to create habits and movement in the direction of it. If you want a more peaceful mind, meditate today, tomorrow, the next day. Don't try it once, get uncomfortable, then forever claim "it's not for you". If you want to get better at a skill, practice every-single-day. I get the irony in this caption, because in a very real sense, this is a motivational speech. So stop reading this, put your phone down, and take an actual step towards something you want. Either you can make your life what you want, or you can let it happen to you. Your choice.
