The bum bag is back, but not as you know it.
We're in the midst of a major '90s resurgence - logo tees, raw hems and oversized denim are taking over our wardrobes. But there's another unexpected item making a comeback: the bum bag. And yes, this time round it's actually chic.
Sleeker than its predecessor but still appealing to our inner lazy girl, the new-look bum bag is worn as a belt or on the hip.
Chloe's Georgia pouch paved the way last year, featuring a chain strap which rested around the waist or neatly under the arm of every blogger worth her Instagram salt. Gucci's quilted belt bag has also garnered cult status. And the trend was going strong on SS17 catwalks with Kenzo, Stella McCartney and Marni models all marching hands-free with leather pouches strung around their waist. And it's carrying on into AW17.
While sporty styles from Tommy Hilfiger or Herschel are perfect for festival and park days (check out our edit of the best festival fashion, too), chic minimalist leather designs by Vagabond and Off-White are perfect for your holiday. And if you want to go all-out it's got to be the Gucci Marmont or an Armani etched pouch in nude.
