Festival Make-up

Rex 1. Festival make-up Lily Allen
Go for gold like Lily Allen at the Montreux Jazz Festival in France. The best way to get the look at home is by using a base for the glitter that will stick it in place. A dewy foundation with no powder over the top will be sufficient for some skin types, others will need a little Vaseline. Dip your fingers in the pot of glitter and get busy! It's like back to playschool...
-
Rex 2. Festival make-up Pixie Lott
Pixie Lott donned a feathered headband and some serious black-out eye make-up at Leeds Party in the Park. Take your black eyeliner right out to the side towards your hairline (we love Bobbi Brown Gelwear eyeliner) and keeping the rest of your face natural for a Pocahontas-style look.
-
Rex 3. Festival make-up Little Boots
Go bright and beautiful! We love Victoria Hesketh aka Little Boot's crimson eye-shadow. Add a set of false lashes for extra festival flutter.
-
Rex 4. Festival make-up Bat for Lashes 3
Natasha Khan has got busy with some full-on face paint action. Festivals are the perfect time to play with your look. So embrace your inner child, buy some eye shadows in colours you're normally too scared to wear and mix, blend and paint!
-
Rex 5. Festival make-up florence machine
Florence and the Machine's Florence Welch seemed to be crying glitter as she performed on stage. Try MAC's Pigment Pots to get the look.
-
Rex 6. Festival make-up Katy Perry
Katy Perry teamed her jewel-encrusted bustier top with some jewel shades on her face at V Festival. A line of bright turquoise powder on her eyes contrasted beautifully with her hot pink lipstick.
-
Rex 7. Festival make-up Lily Allen 2
Lily Allen teamed a black outfit with some seriously shimmery make-up. A smooth base teamed with strong black eyeliner is the perfect base for your festival look; play around with colour (love Lily's lilac lipstick), finish and where you add colour. Lily's pale silver shimmer is applied under the eye as far as the cheekbone, but you could try over the lid up to the brow.

Rex 8. Festival make-up Pixie Lott 2
Pixie Lott went for a hippy chick vibe with her garland of cream flowers at V Festial. She teamed lashings of black eye make-up with a set of flase lashes and a few artfully placed stars on her cheekbone.
-
Rex 9. Festival make-up Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga went for an perhaps uncharacteristically classic look with her pillar box red pout and short red nail varnish. She sure does know how to keep us all guessing...

Rex 10. Festival make-up Bat for Lashes
We love this rainbow that Bat for Lashes has from her eye, all the way down to her clavicle. Very playful, very Starlight Express.
