A phantasmagorical Gucci show could certainly not outdo the queen when it came to front page fashion news, but designer Alessandro Michele certainly did his best.
Transformed into a cartoon-hued operating theatre, with Nick Cave on the front row, the dark and unsettling so-called 'Cyborg' theme only continued when some of the models wandered in with an exact replica of their heads tucked under their arm.
If we were meant to be looking at their clothes it was difficult. Swept into Michele's drama, this was a show that questioned identity - how and who constructs it.
