You Can Buy The Erdem and H&M; Collab Today
Ever since the Erdem x H&M; collab was announced back in July, we've been counting down the days until it hits stores, and today is the day. Earlier this morning the site was flooded with people trying to get on to snap up the pretty feminine womenswear, the accessories and, for the first time ever, a collection for men.
Many of the pieces have sold out online already but if you hunt around you'll still find some gems. Prices start at £14.99 for a pair of tights, £79.99 for a dress and up to £229.99 for a men's coat.
In a statement explaining the collaboration, Erdem is said to have looked back at his youth and to the codes that have defined his work over the past decade. The collection is inspired by the romantic dresses he saw in English films, his father’s coat that his mother draped over her shoulders, or the cool style of 90’s TV and music videos. This translates into Victoriana white blouses, cropped mohair jumpers and, of course, Erdem's signature floral dresses. Many of these are expected to be produced in limited numbers, such as a snowdrop ball gown retailing for £149 which is likely to have stock of only 10 or 20 per store.
'From the moment we started talking with Erdem about the collaboration, I was captured by his vision. For Erdem x H&M; he has created an enchanting world full of beauty, delicacy and rich details. These are special pieces you will want to wear forever,' Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M;’s creative advisor, said in a press release.
