Super yachts provide the ultimate playground for a-listers across the world. If you spend your lives on film sets and red carpets you will always be on the hunt for more diverse content for your Instagram feed, after all. From super shipmates, Bella and Kendall, posing up a storm, to Steven Spielberg’s ‘modest’ boat, complete with infinity pool, here are the greatest yachting moments…
Model Yachts: Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid
Sometimes a yacht is just a prop and best pals, Kendal Jenner and Bella Hadid proved just that when they departed on a (not so) secret yachting trip in May this year. Along with Hailey Baldwin the pair posted a series of snazzy snaps with Kendall captioning one, “You wont’ find me.” Which is a miracle because let’s be honest these girls aren’t exactly yachting in a subtle fashion. It just goes to show if you want to take your feed to the next level, hit the seas sassettes!
ET Phone Home: Steven Spielberg
Named the Seven Seas, the Hollywood director has a pool the size of a small sea in the back of his eighty-six foot super yacht. The infinity pool comes complete with a 15-foot glass wall that can be converted into a cinema screen - well at least Steven is investing his dollar in a multi purpose purchase.
LOLZ Yachting: Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer
Every good yacht trip needs a source of entertainment, step forward Amy Schumer. The Trainwreck star took a number of girl pals to the Bahamas in February this year but this was NOTHING on her infamous sailing trip with her sister from another mister, Jennifer Lawrence. The comedian apparently bumped into J-Law randomly and just said, “hey we are going on a yacht tomorrow, you should come” and before Schumer knew it they were jet skiing their way into international headlines, human pyramid and all!
The ‘Main’ Man: Giorgio Armani
Giorgio’s yacht basically personifies a well-cut Armani suit with clean lines, a sleek black exterior and an air of real sophistication. Measuring 65 metres long Giorgio nicknames his super yacht, Main – it does exactly what it says on the tin, using it to and entertain the main names from the fashion industry. We will await our invitation, Giorgio.
Shipmates Get In Formation: Beyonce and Jay Z
Prepare for some impressive facts and figures that will make any holiday look Bey-sic. In 2015 the ultimate celebrity couple holidayed on The Galactica Star (owned by Nigerian energy magnate, Kola Aluko) complete with it’s own ‘beach club’ and outdoor Jacuzzi. Beyonce commandeered a ‘master suite’ within the $50 million dollar yacht which contains four guests suites sleeping 12 people and with 13 crew members on hand. If that wasn’t enough space for their entourage the three-tiered yacht boasts 267-square metres of decking. Want to sail around in this yacht yourself? It will set you back $900, 000 dollars a week. Excuse us whilst we go and raid our piggy bank.

Cindy packed her clan of to the Peruvian Amazon, jumping aboard Aria Amazon - one of the best yachts to charter to remote destinations. I mean, niche, what was wrong with the South of France, Cinders?
The Ultimate Hen Party: Julianne Hough and Nina Dobrev
American dancer, Julianne Hough and her actress pal, Nina Dobrev set sail for Mexico in March this year for the ultimate hen do for Miss Hough. Alessandra Ambrosio also popped by for some rather theatrical takes on seaside snaps. In the words of Len, SEVENNNNN!
Rapping Up The Sail: P-Diddy
Christmas Eve for many is all about snug nights by the fire and OD’ing on Eggnog but not for Sean Combs, the artist previously known as P.Diddy. The rapper chartered a 60-metre yacht around St. Barts for Christmas Eve, 2016 and brought French Montana and Dave Chappelle along for the sail. We can guarantee with a yacht that big you wouldn’t bump into anyone else in the galley.
Captain Cavalli: Roberto’s Printed Palace
Christened the Baglietto, Roberto Cavalli’s super yacht comes in at 41 metres long. Of course being Roberto the interior of the yacht is awash with roaring prints and the exterior is a very ermmm, ‘distinctive’ colour combo of gold, green and iridescent purple. Well at least you won’t find it hard to locate it in her harbour.
Consciously Yachting: Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow
The pair, who separated three years ago, have recently been spotted yachting together with their son, Moses in Cannes, France. Just where you want to holiday with an ex, in confined conditions below decks…

Our Big Little Lies crush, Reese Witherspoon went on a girls vay-kay in summer 2016 to a super yacht in Croatia. Again the actress made cracking use of the props that sailing has to offer, using a pair of ‘best binoculars’ to take in the sunset and pose.
Girl Crush In The Galley: Ruby Rose
During a guest DJ appearance at Ushuaia the Orange is the New Black actress commandeered a boat and perfected the ultimate yachting snap, the infamous ‘jumping off’ shot. Good gram game!
