Oversized Sunglasses Are Out This Summer, These Are In...

Weird, unflattering and not exactly UV protecting. But so very cool. It’s safe to say the super skinny sci-fi sunglasses were a huge hit at London Fashion Week among the street style set. With a long oval shaped face I do not suit sunglasses like these, but after asking: “Can I get away with these?” to my colleague, BFF and InStyle's Celebrity Director, Josh Newis-Smith, his response was: “You’re talking about the most unflattering shades of 2018. They don’t suit anyone. But 100% wear them.”

And with that, I too joined the bloggers, fashion editors and street style set in donning a pair of these obscure shaped sunglasses, and personally I think they worked (as did all the street style paps). Like everyone, if you look in the mirror you think: "No, I can’t pull these off." But try it, and you won't regret it. They look better then you think.

They really are 2018’s most worn shape when it comes to sunglasses, and with Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner’s approval, I am pretty sure they’re going to be the shape of the summer.
