The invitations…

The devil (or wizard) is in the detail, so start the Harry Potter vibes off right from the start with these Hogwarts Express customisable invitations. We’ll meet you at platform 9 3/4.

The gear…

A quick search on Etsy brings up a whole load of Harry Potter-inspired vest tops emblazoned with slogans like ‘Hogwarts Hottie,’ but our favourite has to be the ‘This Witch Is Getting Hitched’ version. Genius – and only £13.99.

The lingerie…

If you think your bride-to-be will be game, we reckon it’d make an Insta Story to remember if you made her dress up in this Harry Potter lingerie from Yandy.com. Look, we never said this was going to be a classy affair…

The totally ‘Grammable bit…

Make sure everyone knows you’re part of the Potter bride tribe with these butterbeer temporary tattoos. They’re super-adhesive and will last all day and night.

The nail art…

Now, unless any of the hens are pro nail art technicians getting that perfect Quidditch-tastic broomstick is going to be a #fail. Grab a few sheets of these Love by Luna nail wraps (which are surprisingly chic) for some DIY nail art wizardry.

The Snapchat filter…

Go peak millennial and set up a custom Snapchat Harry Potter Geofilter. Perfect for a UK country house-based hen do where you’ll be in one place and have plenty of time for some killer Potter poses.

The decs…

Go the whole hog-warts and cover your airbnb/hotel/flat in this ‘From Muggles To Mrs’ bunting. You’ve got to love a bit of timely alliteration!

The firewhisky…

Well, actually it’s just wine. Or, actually, wineglass charms. How cute are these handmade beauts from Amazon? Handle them with care and you’ll be able to whip them out again at this year’s Halloween party

The snacks…

Quidditch snitches

This is so, so easy. Go all Blue Peter on it and buy some Ferrero Rocher and stick some homemade mini paper wings on them. Et voila – snitches.

Dumbledore sweets

Even easier... just grab some sherbert lemons and pop them in a vintage glass jar.

Chocolate frogs

Easiest. Buy some Cadbury's Freddos.

The games…

Quidditch pong

Like normal beer pong, but with a few minor additions. Buy three hoops to put in the middle of the table, along with two bats and a Snitch. Designate one cup the ‘Snitch’ cup, designate a seeker and a beater on each team – the beater will attempt to block the shots and the seeker will be trying get the snitch in the snitch cup.

Pin the scar on the hen

Replace the tail with a lightening bolt scar and the donkey with a huge photo of the hen – and start pinning.

Harry Potter escape room

If you're less into the DIY and just want the whole thing sorted for you book a session at the Harry Potter escape room. Have you really got what it takes to be a wizard? Let's see. Prices start at £90 for an hour.
