Their Royal Stormtroopers: Here’s Wills and Harry In Star Wars

Kneal before the stormtroopers to the throne...

After months of the Internet talking about Princes William and Harry appearing in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the scene involving the royal brothers has finally seen the light of day.

Alas being the heir to the throne doesn’t mean you won’t end up on the cutting room floor as the scene was deleted from the blockbuster film - awkward for you Wills and Hazza.

The scene shows three stormtroopers stuck in a lift with John Boyega’s character, Finn. The third masked crusader is thought to be none other than Tom Hardy.

Neither Kensington Palace nor Lucasfilm have confirmed the cameos, but Boyega let the Jedi out of the bag when he admitted he was star struck by the Royals on set. Talking about the Royal run-in, John said it was, “great” because “it makes you feel like you’re part of history in a sense.”

Another clue that appears to confirm the cameo is that one of the troopers in the scene engaged with Boyega’s Finn in a southern American accent, in a voice akin to Tom Hardy’s character in the 1930s prohibition themed film, Lawless.

Images of the Royals visiting the Star Wars set sent the Internet into a serious spin last year, with the brothers shown fighting with lightsabers and hugging Chewbacca.

At least they had some memories to take away, even if they didn’t make it onto the film’s acting credits.
