Stella McCartney arrives at Selfridges to sign bottles of latest perfume L.I.L.Y
Thursday 9 February, 2012
Fashion designer Stella McCartney, who launched her first fragrance STELLA back in 2003, attended an exclusive signing of new scent L.I.L.Y in Selfridges.
Stella’s inspiration for the new perfume came from childhood memories of the countryside estate where she grew up. She revealed: “It comes from my dad’s nickname for my mum: “Linda I love you”. The name is also from the lily of the valley ingredient — I love it as a flower, and so did my mum — it’s delicate, feminine, innocent.”

Choosing all the notes for the scent herself, Stella brought in perfumer Jacques Cavillier to develop a blend of truffle, lily of the valley and oak moss, sure to become the go-to perfume of the masses.
The campaign for L.I.L.Y was shot by David Sims and stars Polish model Malgosia Bela.
