Penelope Cruz is the face of the latest Lancome beauty ads and spent her big day filming with iconic fashion photographer Mario Testino

Penelope may have had to work on her 36th birthday, but she did so in style, looking serene as she gazed over the balcony of the glamorous Hotel de Crillon in Paris... We imagine her handsome co-star helped to soften the blow, too!

Testino shot the stunning actress-cum-model at the glamorous hotel, keeping a simple vision of Parisian elegance in mind, with his two-man cast keeping it chic in a black suit and LBD respectively.

Penelope certainly looked her sultry best, working a loose updo and a simple make-up look to showcase her ever-youthful looks.

We can certainly think of worse ways to spend a birthday!
