Jessica Alba and Natalie Portman hit Venice film festival

Both Natalie Portman and Jessica Alba hit the 67th annual Venice film festival yesterday to await their latest releases being unveiled, and it was Natalie's ballet thriller Black Swan that kicked things off to rave reviews.
It's set to be one of the most exciting film events of the year, drawing a star-studded crowd, with the likes of Naomi Campbell making an appearance. And, it's up to Quentin Tarantino and a host of other judges to choose the winners of best film, actor and actress from among the 79 film premieres.

Of course, it's not all about sitting in a darkened cinema, with one of the most stunning European cities at their feet, Natalie and Jessica didn't miss their chance to take a ride along the river.

Sporting some very stylish downtime ensembles the ladies took some time out to lay back and take in the views from some quant river boats.
Remaining pragmatic, both actresses had slipped into flats for the occassion, with Jessica wearing an easy combo of chinos, floaty top and brogues, while Natalie opted for perfectly-pointed flats and a sweet polka dot frock.
