It was the most celebrity studded party of New York fashion week. Hosted by Madonna, attended by Gwyneth Paltrow, Drew Barrymore, Demi Moore and Jennifer Lopez… and all to raise money for a good cause.
Madonna, joined by her daughter Lourdes, hosted a glittering party at the UN headquarters in New York last night that drew some of the biggest names in show business. Alongside actors Gwyneth Paltrow, Tom Cruise, Orlando Bloom and Demi Moore (to name but a few), were stars from music and fashion such as Rihanna, Anna Wintour, Coldplay's Chris Martin and Gwen Stefani. The aim of the evening was to raise a grand sum of money to help children affected by HIV and AIDs in Malawi. Madonna, speaking to the assembled glitterati said: I don't think I've ever been so nervous in my life. It would be easier to stand in front of 80,000 people than address you here about a cause that means so much to me."
