Audrey Hepburn scooped the Best Actress Oscar for Roman Holiday wearing a strappy white organza number by Givenchy. Throughout her career, the fashion icon forged a strong relationship with designer Hubert de Givenchy, and hand-picked him to design most of her film costumes and her personal wardrobe. Minutes after accepting the Academy Award, Hepburn misplaced it and had to race to the ladies room to retrieve it in time for a photo call.
