What better way to celebrate London Fashion week than by breaking records with the world’s longest catwalk? The relay walk, from Land’s End to John O’Groats has been launched by House of Fraser in an attempt to bring the glamour of LFW to the rest of the nation. Models, volunteers and House of Fraser employees will each take turns to complete a section of the marathon catwalk, which will carry on continuously night and day, rain or shine until the last model reaches her destination. The entire catwalk is estimated to take a total of just over 382 hours, and kicked off on Monday… in the rain.
Today, models strapped on their stilettos and passed the baton outside the doors of the Natural History Museum, the official Fashion Week venue, a mere 392 miles into the journey. They might have found it easier if they’d put on a pair of trainers, but let’s face it, they wouldn’t have looked half as good.
