Ever wondered what the InStyle team really wear to London Fashion Week? Well, wonder no more.
As LFW kicks off for another season, we have the super talented Harry Cresswell – winner of our street style photography competition – on the ground to capture each and every outfit the InStyle team wear.
With dozens of catwalk shows to attend, and some seriously stylish after parties to be seen at, the InStyle team has a mammoth week ahead of them – and a wardrobe to match.
Check back every day to see what everyone – from the editors to assistants – is wearing on the front row.
Day Five: Anya Hindmarch and Karen Millen
If anyone can make a box of Kellogg’s Frosties look good it’s Anya Hindmarch. And that’s exactly what she did last season. Dazzling us with her supermarket inspired clutches, Hindmarch’s AW14 collection was an ode to consumerism and the peak of last season’s obsession with logomania (think Chanel’s supermarket and Moschino’s McDonalds). The wittiest woman in accessory design, Anya Hindmarch flies the flag for British fashion with her signature bow logo adorning her designs. And as the only accessories brand to produce a full on-schedule show Hindmarch is at the top of her game. With cashier costumed dancers springing along to Judy Garland’s ‘Get Happy’ at her last show, we’re expecting big (and jazzy) things from her this LFW.
Recently revamped, Karen Millen feels like it’s had a fresh start for autumn. With Sophie Turner, aka Game Of Throne’s Sansa Stark, as their latest campaign star and a new 8000 square foot atelier in their Knightsbridge flagship store, Karen Millen is officially on the up. No longer just a prom dress destination, the highstreet hero’s AW14 collection included absolute fashion essentials. We NEED the cluster jeweled bomber jacket and what are we supposed to wear to the shows if not their fur trimmed blanket coat? We’re more than a little excited to see what they’ve got in store for us for SS15.
With thanks to Mercedes Benz.
