She's the designer behind those pop-coloured, geometric shaped bags and multi-hued cut-out shoes that catch the eye of every single streetstyle photographer and brighten up monochromatic filled Instagram feeds. The Brazillian-born, Milan based designer Paula Cademartori honed her skills at Versace before launching her eponymous bag label in 2010. It didn't long for her designs to be seen swinging off the arms of the power fash pack - think Miroslava Duma, Anna Dello Russo and Bryan Boy. Her debut shoe collection in 2015 also became immediate Instabait and she hasn't look back since becoming a go-to for those after a vibrant splash of colour to pep up their attire and attitude.
With the opening of her first ever pop-up store during Milan fashion week, Paula takes us behind-the-scenes offering a glimpse into her colourful, multi-hued world...
My head is a jungle…and so is my office! This is the place where I gather all my inspirations and mix them all together to make my creations. It’s my personal temple, my refuge, my shelter…even during the hustle and bustle of fashion week I like to spend some time here, to plan all my activities and fuel my creativity, have long talks with my collaborators and go through all those hundreds of emails I still haven't answered!
Getting ready for all my work appointments…but I can’t leave the office without the right bag. The Twi Twi model looks perfect today, but in which color? Hard choice, I love them all!
In between shows an absolute pit-stop at my new Pop up store with a matchy-matchy look! I love this place, it’s so vibrant with its velvet and brass. So inspiring that I had to pick the right outfit for it! The Bloom sandal is the perfect choice.
This is my new Pop Up store #PcPopUP! My first temporary store makes me feel so excited, it’s a very big step for me and my brand! I’ve designed an exclusive capsule collection for this special occasion…the store was designed by the talented Ferruccio Laviani who did an amazing job! It’s located in Galleria del Toro, Piazza San Babila, in the heart of the city centre (if you are in Milan come and take a look, it will be up until April 16th, by the way).
Sitting on my balcony with my inseparable dog Apollo planning the day ahead! Fashion week schedule is always so busy! Meetings, events, fashion shows from all the talented designers here in Milan…I love all that, but in order to not miss anything I better take a look at my agenda as a first thing in the morning!
Busy busy busy! Let’s get in the car with a fresh simple look to face another fashion week day…
The moment is here! My new collection has come to life! Can’t wait to finally share it with everybody…it’s such a thrill! We’ve worked so hard with my team to make sure everything is perfect. I’m obsessed by details; stitching, colours, they make the real difference. This year my Winter Garden press presentation took place on February 25th at Palazzo Castiglioni in Milan. This is a very magical place and its Art-Nouveau vibe makes it the perfect setting to display my fall/winter 17/18 collection. I could not have wished for a more magical place than this. Milan is a continuous discovery <3
#PcWinterGarden: I wanted to create a jungle of wonders to show my fall/winter 17/18 collection to everyone. New bags and shoes made of precious materials and bright colors: elegance with a touch of baroque wildness. A true winter garden full of gems, tropical plants, tapestries, flamingos and leopards!
Taking a break during the #PCWinterGarden presentation with my Blossom sandal and my new Twi Twi bag.
What a great day with amazing guests such as the lovely Olivia Palermo enjoying the #PCWinterGarden!
I can’t decide what shoes to wear for tonight parties…Apollo, my dear companion, will you help me picking the coolest ones?
It’s party time! Fashion week is amazing because I get to meet up with all these special people who work in fashion everyday with passion and creativity…and now we get a chance to stay together and celebrate! Let’s get a little loose ;-)
