You Won't BELIEVE How Much Celebs Get Paid To Wear Gorgeous Designer Dresses

In exemplary case of why life really isn't fair, Emily Blunt's stylist has revealed how much the A-list can bank just by wearing beautiful clothes by certain designers...

From Emma Watson's dress-trouser hybrid to Jennifer Lopez's green Versace frock, it's definitely fair to say that the outfits which the A-list choose to don to the biggest events of the year can make or break their career for the foreseeable future. Getting it right is paramount but as a top celeb stylist has just revealed, it's not the only factor that helps the star make up his or her mind.

Speaking out at the Vulture Festival's Hollywood Power Stylist Panel this weekend, some of Hollywood's top stylists and fashion insiders were quizzed on all things celebrity dressing. From styling tips and tricks to specific client needs, the discussion was in full swing when Jessica Paster, super-stylist to the sartorially blessed Emily Blunt, made the revelation that actors and actresses can receive up to $250,000 (approx £165K) from designers to wear just one dress, while stylists themselves can expect a bonus of anywhere between $30,000 (£19.5K) and $50,000 (£33K) for persuading the star into a particular designers garbs. Yep, that's a helluva lot of cash...

After the media caught wind of the claims, countless sites and sources have branded the act of paying a celebrity to wear their clothes as greedy and selling out their own personal style. However, as Paster argues, it's kind of the way the industry is whether we like it or not: 'If it looks awful on you, $100,000 or $250,000 is not worth it, but if it looks gorgeous and this is the dress you were going to pick anyway, why not get paid?' To be fair, we'd probably take the money too. She added, 'Let's not forget that when they [the designers] make these custom dresses, they’re spending about $100,000 dollars, so someone is getting paid.'

Right-hand style man to the starry Lady Gaga, Brandon Maxwell, was quick to back his colleague as he made this hilarious point: 'It's all wrapped up in money. It's Hollywood, we’re not at church!' Touché.

Maxwell then added; 'The whole point of having a stylist is that you can make more money, or more people will want to hire you or the brand that you’re wearing is making more money because it's driving sales.'

Ok, lets get this straight — the stars get to saunter around dresses and outfits that we could only dream wearing AND they basically get paid the cost of a house to do so? We've said it before and we'll say it again: life is seriously unfair...
