Fashion-forward Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto and Italian design house Salvatore Ferragamo have joined forces to create a unique footwear collection for this autumn/winter.
The collaboration combines the Japanese designer's creative and artistic flair with Ferragamo's traditional Italian craftsmanship. The range, which features eight limited-edition footwear styles and designs, has been created in true Yamamoto style, featuring deconstructed lines and plastic shapes sculpted into the finest Florentine leather.
Our favourite style is the classic Ferragamo Vara pump, which has been the Italian fashion brand's iconic piece for the past three decades. This lace-up trainer has been given that added Yohji touch, with expressive shapes and undulating lines.
Not only do the quality materials and soft feminine touches of the range ensure that each shoe fits the wearer like a Cinderella slipper, but each pair comes in a funky packaging, too. The outside of the carrier bag and box come in Yamamoto's signature red and black print while the inside of the product features Ferragamo's traditional red colour. If that isn't enough to entice you into getting your hands on one of these fabulous limited-edition pairs, we don't know what is!
The Salvatore Ferragamo for Yohji Yamamoto mini-collection is available now at Yohji Yamamoto boutiques and select Ferragamo stores around the world. For more information visit http://www.ferragamo.com or http://www.yohjiyamamoto.co.jp
