This weekend, our features editor Hannah Rochell was lucky enough to jet out to Monaco for Louis Vuitton’s first ever cruise show, which was also the second ever collection for the brand designed by Nicholas Ghesquiere. The show was fantastic, but the whole experience was pretty fabulous, too. Here's Hannah’s Instagram diary.
I arrived and was promptly whisked off for lunch at the Hotel de Paris with amazing views of the sea
After lunch it was back to the Hotel Metropole to relax by the rooftop pool, which was designed by Karl Lagerfeld
The invitation for the show came in a gorgeous leather envelope, which I will definitely be re-using!
The show itself was in a glass cube in a square overlooked by the Monégasque palace. It was a roaring success with the fashion editors in attendance; all about colour, texture and VERY wearable silhouettes.
While some of the shoes were pretty extravagant in their design, that mid block heel looks rather comfortable, too
There were two after parties on the night of the cruise show, so on Sunday morning we were treated to an organic lunch to ease into the day
After lazing by the crystal blue sea, we hopped on a helicopter to Nice airport. I’d never been on one before and was a bit scared - can you tell by my face?! Now I’d like to go in one every day...
