Candice Swanepoel and Adriana Lima at the Victoria's Secret store on Bond Street
There's one very clear reason why this year's Victoria's Secret show is set to be the best yet: it's going to be in London.
Yes, the annual underwear extravaganza, which costs the lingerie label upwards of $12 million to put on, will take place at Earl's Court on December 2nd.
Victoria's Secret Angels Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel, and the brand's Chief Marketing Officer, Ed Razek, were all on hand today at the Bond Street store to break the news.
'We're very excited to announce that the Victoria Secret show will be coming to London' Adriana told a room full of press. 'It's so exciting as everyone knows London is the world's centre of fashion.'
'We've wanted to come to London since 1998, and we are just really excited to be here,' said Ed Razek.
So, will British acts be perfoming at the show, given it's going to be in London? Well if If Adriana Lima had her way, Sir Elton would be seranading the girls on the runway. 'I love Elton John,' she told us. 'Really, I really love him.'
'Nothing is confirmed, but even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you,' Ed laughed.
But the models do have one request for a Brit audience member: 'We would love to invite Prince Harry!' We're sure he'd be happy to attend, ladies.
And what about some homegrown modelling talent on the catwalk? Since we'll be on Cara Delevingne's home turf, it would make sense that she'd strut her stuff for the label again.
'I told Cara a week ago and told her to save the date,' Ed said. 'She was excited about it. And she managed to keep the news secret for a whole week!'
