Candice Swanepoel is the chosen model to showcase the $10 million bra at the Victoria’s Secret show in November

Candice Swanepoel will soon be wearing millions of dollars worth of jewels on her body when she takes to the catwalk for the annual Victoria’s Secret show on 13 November.

This year’s extravagant Fantasy Bra is made up of diamonds, yellow sapphires and rubies all set in 18-karat gold. The huge teardrop ruby that hangs from the centre of the jewel-encrusted bra is alone worth an eye-watering figure, and has made this Fantasy Bra the most expensive yet (four times that of the one worn by Alessandra Ambrosio’s last year).

Following in the footsteps of former Fantasy Bra wearers Miranda Kerr and Gisele Bundchen, South African-born Candice has describred the honour as “Kind of a big ordeal.” Speaking to People, the 24-year old said: “I’ve never worn anything this pricey, and we have to put gloves on when we put it on.”

And if you're wondering how the bra is such a good fit, it's because it was moulded onto Candice's body.  "I tried to imagine after they'd done the mold, how would they make it, how it would look. My imagination didn't do it justice. My favorite part is this beautiful 52-carat pear-shaped ruby. Every part of it is exquisite."

Taking to Instagram to share a picture of the big reveal, Candice wrote: "So excited to be wearing the fantasy bra this year in the @victoriassecret fashion show! It was moulded on my body months ago, finally I can let the secret out. Thank you #victoriassecret

And if you're worried about the security issues surrounding such a pricey object, don't be: the bra comes with not one, but two bodyguards. At least Candice will be in safe hands…
