Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood, Marchesa and more have designed teddy bear outfits for charity Living Paintings

Designers such as Vivienne Westwood, top left, Marchesa, middle left, Matthew Williamson, Betty Jackson and Lulu Guinness have created outfits for Steiff teddy bears to be auctioned off for charity Living Paintings at the V&A in February.

Joan Collins, Sir Derek Jacobi and Twiggy have also created adorable outfits: we love Twiggy’s layered purple ruffle number, bottom left, and can’t help being reminded of Sandra Bullock’s gorgeous Golden Globes Bottega Veneta dress.

Living Paintings is a charity that works with blind and visually impaired children and adults. It creates raised images to “look” at pictures through touch and audio descriptions of pictures and paintings to bring them to life.

The fashion fabulous collaboration was inspired by Living Paintings’s version of the book Cinderella – an Art Deco Love Story, which came out last Christmas – developing the charity’s work with art to include fashion to help blind girls and teens make fashion choices.
