Canadian born fashion designer Thomas Tait has won the inaugural LVMH Young Designer Award.
Tait, who started his eponymous label in 2010, beat fellow London Fashion Week designer Simone Rocha to scoop the 300,000 euros prize, which also includes a year-long mentorship.
Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Nicolas Ghesquière, Raf Simons, Phoebe Philo and Riccardo Tisci, along with Kenzo’s creative duo Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, sat on the jury with Delphine Arnault, who spearheaded the prize initiative, along with LVMH executives Pierre-Yves Roussel and Jean-Paul Claverie.
With those stellar names backing him, we're expecting to see even greater things from 26-year-old Tait in the not-so-distant future.
