The art of storytelling lives on

The fashion set gather to celebrate the launch Simon Aboud's new book, "Told - The art of story."

We all remember the delightful scene in Mary Poppins where the children jump into the pavement drawings, finding themselves surrounded by the depths of their own imaginations. Well, the magic can now be relived with Simon Aboud's new book, "Told - The art of story".

Told is a collection of 33 photographically illustrated stories that celebrate the art of storytelling. Each story has been created to show how the different principles work, to show how pictures call upon different emotions, bringing story telling to life.

Simon's creative background is vast, from working in advertising to directing commercials and writing and directing short films for the likes of fashion designers Frost French and Katarzyna Szczotarska. Throughout his career, Simon has taken photographs for both clients and himself; forming the visual commentary for the narrative in the book.

The tome is already a big hit with the fashion set, as celebrity fans and friends such as Kate Bosworth, Stella McCartney and Dame Vivienne Westwood gathered at the swanky 45 St Martin's Lane Hotel earlier this week for the launch party in partnership with cool fashion label COS. The book is available in store now at COS and is guaranteed to add a touch of supercalifragilistic magic to any story time.
