Fishtails, crop tops and a whole lot of pink took over this year's Met Ball red carpet
The Met Ball 2014 saw a whole host of celebrities turn out at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York for Anna Wintour's annual fashion-packed extravaganza.
This year's theme was 'White Tie And Decorations', and when it came to high-voltage red carpet glamour, 2014's fashionable frock-off may just have been the event's best one yet.
With fabulous fishtails, beaded beauties and masses of pink adorning the star-studded red carpet, it was a typically gorgeous affair. But there were a few sartorial surprises too.
Crop tops made a huge appearance, with Rihanna rocking a white Stella McCartney skirt and structured crop top combo, Cara Delevingne following suit in a pair of chic white Stella trousers and a black crop top, and Emma Stone looking gorgeously girly in a hot pink Thakoon crop top and silky thigh split wrap skirt. Colour blocking at its best.
Victoria Beckham and Beyonce stuck to monochrome, with the former Spice Girl looking suitable chic in a strapless white body-skimmer from her own collection, and Jay Z's wife opting for a fiercer-than-fierce plunging black Givenchy Couture dress.
Kim Kardashan made up for last year's floral Ricardo Tisci fail by sticking to old school Hollywood glamour in her belted blue thigh-split Lanvin gown.
