The Taschen sale only runs until Sunday - sharpen those elbows...
Taschen books are, let’s face it, coffee table books of dreams, so when we heard they were having a sale, we made sure there was some space ready on our bookshelf. It doesn’t matter whether you’re into fashion, music, film or even comic books, there’s a tome for you - with a hefty chunk off the price tag, as well.
The book sale runs until Sunday evening, so you better get a move on and sharpen those elbows – when stock is gone it’s gone, and you might need to fight for the titles you have your eye on. To give you a head start, we’ve put together a must-read preview of the best coffee table books on offer, all at up to 75% off; take notes and hunt them down, but because we can’t promise they’ll still be in store (what can we say, those book lovers are quick) we’ve got some great alternatives for you too.

Take home some of the finest fashion photography in recent years, including a ride through MaRio De Janeiro, a Private View of Mario’s celebrity inner circle and an entire book dedicated to the one and only Kate Moss. Watch out for Helmut Newton, and those supersized pink-spined books on Vivienne Westwood, Raf Simons and Rick Owens.
If that’s sold out…you can't take home the heels, but you can pick up Shoes: Pleasure and Pain, the book celebrating the V&A’s latest fashion exhibition. Shoe facts, celebrity wardrobes and high-fashion styles give you all the pleasure, none of the pain.

100 Interiors Around The World
Let’s be real, everyone loves taking a peek into other people’s homes. This book (well, it comes in volumes A-M and M-Z) takes you into houses across the world to get a glimpse of how kitschy New York clutter compares to minimal Eastern abodes. The best-seller Taschen Cabins is on sale, too.
If that’s sold out… thought black and white interiors were boring? Monochrome Home will make you think again. Get two tone inspiration for every room of your house, including the plants.

Portrait Of A City
Taschen’s travel books are unbeatable for their stunning photography and in-depth city guides. Choose from London, Paris or Los Angeles and make some time to plan your trip at home – this is no carry-around-in-your-handbag book. If you’re heading to the Big Apple, pick up Taschen’s New York for a quirkier guide to the city.
If that’s sold out…see the world from a different perspective with Before They Pass Away, a stunning book showcasing the remotest tribes in the world. They might not be top of your holiday list, but these images are unbelievable.
If you like…music
We know music is for listening to, but when album sleeves are this great they deserve their time to shine. Rock Covers is the ultimate rock’n’roll art book, with over 750 (yep, seriously) covers that range from well known to really rare releases. This is one to show off to your friends.
If that’s sold out… try Excess All Areas, a hilarious compilation of the most ridiculous rock riders, and see the crazy lists your favourite singers demand their dressing rooms.
If you like…film
“You talkin’ to me?!” If you’re a fan of Taxi Driver, yes we are. Taschen’s book of stills from the film stands alone as a gritty photography title, with hundreds of unseen images taken by Steve Schapiro. Robert De Niro not doing it for you? Take a flick through Movie Icons Day By Day, Hollywood In The 70s or go back to your youth with 75 Years of Marvel, a super-bright run through the history of Marvel’s favourite superheroes from comic books to the silver screen.
If that’s sold out… delve into the mind of Leonardo DiCaprio with Anatomy of an Actor, a book that charts Leo’s best silver screen moments from Romeo and Juliet to The Wolf of Wall Street – let’s be honest, the pictures are enough...
The Taschen sale runs until June 28th at stores worldwide.
