Ahead of taking their front row seats at the Topshop Unique show at London Fashion Week, Joshington Hosts caught up with the matriarch of the Sylvester Stallone family: Jennifer Flavin and her middle child, Sophia Stallone.
We've all experienced the dreaded, ‘get up stairs and change’ situation with our parents, but having Sylvester Stallone, AKA Rocky himself, as a father makes this situation all the more tricky.
‘I am definitely the softer touch, he will always say that skirt is too short or says that’s a crop top go and change,’ according to his wife, Jennifer Flavin, who continued to say that they always win when it comes to a showdown with Sylvester’s style advice.
The two gals gathered to watch the eldest sister, Sistine, close the Topshop Unique show, along with seasoned models including Stella Maxwell and London model of the moment,Adwoa Aboah. So you'd be forgiven for thinking they were all natural stylistas.
‘I am not! I'm styled by my mum and my sister. I have two stylists on hand,’ says Sophia, who let them select her outfit for the show when they hit Topshop on Oxford Street, London, the day before.
The three Stallone girls made history when they were all named Miss Golden Globes girls at the same time and Sophia marks their appearance at the award ceremony with their dad as a turning point, having previously been very unaware of their squad-like power.
Whilst Sylvester doesn’t win when it comes to fashion, Sophia is always on hand to lend him some help. ‘I helped him write his acceptance speech, telling him to take things out or add them in! We do that with him with everything be it his movies or music.’
So it’s firmly a case of girl power when it comes to the Stallone residence.
You go girls! Something also tells us this is just the beginning of their presence on the fashion scene.
