Kate Middleton has made a name for herself as the most stylish member of the British royal family (although Prince George is definitely giving her a run for her money right now). However, in the international stakes, it looks like the 33-year-old Duchess doesn't quite make the cut...
As part of its now annual survey, Hello! asked 30,000 of its readers from around the globe to vote for the royal they thought deserved the world's most stylish crown. And while Kate does appear in the shortlist, she rather surprisingly doesn't rank first... or second for that matter.
So, which royal is officially the world's most stylish? That accolade goes to Crown Princess Mary of Denmark for the second year running, who scooped a massive 30% of the total votes. Soz, K-Middy - Mary's penchant for Valentino heels and Max Mara coats was always going to be tough to beat.
Taking second place in the poll was Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, who has become known for her love of bright and bold outfits and what has to be the largest collection of lace dresses on the planet. Proof that finding (and sticking) to your style zen definitely pays off.
Ranking at number three is our gal Kate, who continued to show off her exemplary style throughout her pregnancy with her second child, Princess Charlotte.
We reckon that now Kate's out of her maternity clobber - for the time being at least - she's definitely in with a chance of hitting the top spot in next years' poll. A quick call to her friends at Alexander McQueen ought to clinch the deal...
Other noteworthy regal style stars in the 2015 poll were Queens Letizia and Rania, Princesses Mette-Marit and Victoria, and Kate's very own aunt-in-law, Sophie the Countess of Wessex, who helped make sure us Brits were properly represented in the findings.
Now Kate, lets all sit down and talk strategy for 2016 with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie in tow, shall we?
