Stella McCartney has teamed up with Disney to create a capsule collection of children’s clothing to celebrate the upcoming release of Maleficent.
The idea arose when the British designer and her kids were invited by Angelina Jolie, who plays the lead role in the film, to visit her on set.
The McCartney clan loved it and Stella, who is a self-confessed ‘huge fan’ of Disney, went on to develop the pieces with costume designer Anna B.Sheppard.
Inspired by characters and imagery from Maleficent, whose story is explored in the new film after featuring in the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty, the range comprises of eight styles for boys and girls between the ages of four-14. (Disappointing, we know.)
Not only is it dress up heaven, amongst the horned headpieces and dreamy princess dresses, there are sweatshirts, trainers and sandals which can be worked in to your little one’s day wear.
Pieces will be available, with prices ranging between £45-£114, from Stella McCartney stores worldwide and online, where 10% of sales will benefit the charity SOS Children's Villages, as well as select Disney stores.
