Ask any mum and she’ll tell you that she cares just as much – if not more – about what her kids wear than what she wears. There is certain pride in seeing your little ‘uns looking chic and stylish (but always comfortable) even if the outfit does get covered in chocolate or dirt or finger paints after just 20 minutes.
Luckily for those of us with kids, designer Stella McCartney totally gets it. As a mum of three who will soon give birth to another bundle of joy, Stella understands the importance of organic cotton, stylish but comfy duds, unisex jackets and babygrows and not having too many white clothes (it’s a disaster waiting to happen). She has cleverly applied her learnings to her brand new children’s collection, for children aged 0 to 12.
Our top picks include the days of the week baby body suits, the drummer boy jacket with distinctly-Stella lapel (uber-fab on a girl or boy) and the Fair Isle knit jumper dress.
Almost as cool as the collection is the website, which invites kiddies to play and get creative. From story-telling to drawings, it’s the ultimate virtual playground.
