Stylish mums rejoice! Designer extraordinaire Stella McCartney is to create a range of clothes for GapKids and babyGap. The mum-of-three will be lending her modern design aesthetic to a label, said: "For years now I've wanted to create a collection for kids, it's something I've often been asked about. I believe that this one off collaboration will be a great way for customers to be able to participate in the Stella McCartney brand."
And the great news is that the collection promises to be competitively priced. The designer added: "I believe that kids clothing should be more accessibly priced, which is particularly important at the moment given the current climate. It's really exciting for us to do a boys and girls collection for the first time."
InStyle's resident mums are already writing up their shopping lists; the last time Stella collaborated with a high street retailer (H&M in 2005), virtually the entire line sold out nationwide in a day!
Stella McCartney's range for GapKids and babyGap lands in store in November 2009.
