Don’t panic – there are plenty of cinematic treats in store this Sunday for last-minute lovahs
Former InStyle hot spot of the month Callooh Callay is screening romantic classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s accompanied by cocktails this Sunday at 6.30pm and 9pm.
Choose from 'Not on the first date' (Goslings Black Seal, Havana 7, green tea, guava jelly, lime and mango), served in a tea pot, £25 per couple; 'At the drive-in' (Back Seat Passion Moët Rose champagne cocktail, popcorn and pudding), £50 per couple; or 'Breakfast in Bed', with a bottle of Bollinger, oysters and a dessert platter, £70.
The BFI is doing its bit for romance too, with screenings of the film taking place all over the UK and at more than a dozen venues in London. Visit the BFI site for full Breakfast at Tiffany’s Valentine’s Day listings.
Suffering a bad break-up? Get cold and bitter at the National Theatre’s outdoor screening of Billy Wilder’s dark romance The Apartment, 6pm. It may be freezing, but it’s free, and probably full of fellow misanthropic singletons. You can warm up at the bar with The Frosty Jack (two glasses of pink prosecco and a box of Turkish Delight, £10) or The Sizzling Shirley (two Irish coffees and a box of dark chocolates, £10).
Plus all over the UK this Sunday, Cineworld cinemas are showing a special 20th anniversary (yes, it’s been that long) screening of the Julia Roberts and Richard Gere rom-com favourite Pretty Woman.
