The British store beat off competition from America and Europe to win the title
Selfridges has been named the best department in the world, beating Macy's and John Lewis to the title.
This is the third time the Oxford street store (which also has branches in Manchester and Birmingham) has been awarded the accolade – a feat achieved by no other store.
With it's newly-launched fragrance lab, expansive Denim Studio and world famous Foodhall, it's not hard to see why Selfridges continues to be held up as the best department store in the world.
Selfridges' group managing director Paul Kelly said: 'This award is international recognition of the global reach of our brand. Selfridges has gone from strength to strength worldwide, and this prestigious retail award recognises the status of our brand as a successful retail innovator. Receiving this distinction for a third term is truly exciting.'
