Think creams, whites, greys, black and a splash of that unmistakable Valentino red and you’ve got the palette set for Valentino’s dreamily romantic haute couture collection, showcased on the Paris runway.
It was a collection of contrasts – black vs white, structure vs free-flow, extravagant vs simplicity – all working together to give the collection an unashamed Valentino boldness.
Letting the garments speak for themselves, Valentino kept hair and make-up neutral, to bring out the character and intensity of the collection.
Setting the bar high for haute couture, we can’t wait to see more from Valentino in September!
And if his fashion house storming the runway wasn’t enough, the man behind the name, Valentino Garavani hosted a star-studded bash in the ground of his 17th century chateau to celebrate the launch of his archives.
Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba, Liz Hurley, Blake Lively and Marc Jacobs were just some of the fashion A-listers partying with the fashion legend.
