Scarlett Johansson has been treating us to a stellar array of looks over the past few weeks now that the promo trail for her new film Avengers: The Age of Ultron is heating up. However her latest outfit, which she sported to the UK premiere of the film in London last night, has to be our fav so far — for many reasons.
Since the birth of her first child — a daughter named Rose Dorothy — the 30-year-old actress has undergone a bit of a style and beauty overhaul. Before her pregnancy, the starlet had a major penchant for '40s style beauty, tousled waves and pin-up girl frocks that showed off her hourglass figure in the sexiest way possible. Now, with an edgy undercut and a more slimline figure than ever she's started to embrace her fiercer side in all aspects of her look, including her clothing.
Joining her starry cast-members on the, err, blue carpet, Scar-Jo turned heads for ALL the right reasons in her Tetris-come-camouflage printed floor-sweeper. It was only upon closer inspection that we realised that it wasn't a dress at all, but a jumpsuit. And a seriously cool one at that.
Being a major star definitely has its perks and getting your hands on next season's designer clobber is a big one. Scarlett did just that for her latest look by tapping up Olivier Rousteing at Balmain so that she could wear one of the hottest items from his AW15 collection — this amazing technicolour jumpsuit complete with super-wide pleated strides.
She may not have styled it with the co-ordinating cape but her look didn't fail to turn heads thanks to her amazing hairstyle to boot. Styling her pixie crop into a textured quiff? Inspired! Whoever said short-haired girls can't do updo's clearly hadn't seen this 'do...
Of course, this wasn't the first jumpsuit Scar-Jo has rocked in the last couple of weeks. At the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month, the actress looked beyond beautiful in this shocking, bright pink Zuhair Murad jumpsuit, which she styled with colour block sandals and statement drop earrings. Stunning, huh?
The tailored cut helped to show off her svelte post-baby body perfectly without having to sacrifice in the style stakes — in fact, it was probably more flattering on her frame than any dress would have been.
After seeing Scarlett look so amazing in her array of jumpsuits, we've been inspired to follow her lead and trade in our occasion frocks for an all-in-one of our very own. Not only do they make a very cool alternative wedding guest outfit, we guarantee you'll actually want to wear them again once your swanky party has passed. And how many of the frilly dresses that are currently hanging in your wardrobe can you say that about?!
