Roland Mouret, the designer famed for his curve-enhancing Galaxy dress, will be opening a six-storey flagship store in spring next year. With a celebrity directory that reads like an Oscar invite list (Victoria Beckham, Rachel Weisz, Cameron Diaz, Keira Knightley, to name a few) the designer is going to fit in perfectly in swanky Mayfair, where he’ll share a postcode with the likes of Lanvin, Marc Jacobs and Christian Louboutin.
In other happy news, Mouret and his business partner Simon Fuller announced that he’s won back the rights to the Roland Mouret trademark. The Frenchman had been designing under the moniker RM by Roland Mouret after splitting with his backers back in 2005.
Mouret said: “The acquisition of the trademark and the addition of Carlos Place, the new residence for the brand, feels like a home coming.”
Roland Mouret will be showing his label at Paris Fashion Week in October.
