Roksanda Ilinic has chosen a beautiful Grade II listed building on Mount Street in Mayfair as the location for her debut flagship store.
The London-based designer, whose London Fashion Week show is always one of the best-attended on the schedule, designed the store with British architect David Adjaye.
Speaking about the shop opening, Roksanda said: ‘Opening our first store is a huge milestone for me. It is crucial that it is here in London, and this incredible Mount Street site is the perfect location. The store will be the home for the brand in more ways than one, and will be the ideal space for my vision for the label to be fully realised’.
Roksanda is renowned for her exquisite eveningwear and she is the go-to designer for numerous celebrities - from Keira Knightley and Gwyneth Paltrow to Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama - looking for the perfect red-carpet dress.
To celebrate the launch of the new store, and to neatly coincide with the Freize Art Fair which is currently in full swing in London, Roksanda has teamed up with set designer Gary card to create a unique installation on the site of the new shop.
The installation incorporates a capsule collection of eight dresses and separates, inspired by the work of artist Josef Albers and will be on display for three weeks. The capsule collection is available exclusively at Net-A-Porter.com
