In what seems like the longest wait ever, the trailer for Robert Pattison’s new film Life has finally dropped.
And it looks pretty awesome, not that we're at all surprised.
In the movie – a biopic of the tragic 1950s screen icon James Dean – Robert takes on the role of Life Magazine photojournalist Dennis Stock.
Looking totally handsome with side-swept hairstyle, the clip begins with R-Pattz's shirt and tie clad character making a phone call to his superior about an 'awkward' unknown actor who he believes might have 'something special'.
After persuading his boss that James really does have star quality, Dennis strikes up a friendship with the handsome Hollywood wannabe after meeting him at a party in 1953.
James - who sports his trademark quiff and dark-rimmed glasses in the footage - is played by American actor Dane DeHaan, who you might recognise from The Place Beyond The Pines or Kill Your Darlings.
Wondering what made Robert so keen to bag a part in Luke Davies' flick? His desire to have children one day. Too. Cute.
'At my age, you don't get so many chances to play a father - and certainly not one who leaves his family in the lurch,' he revealed to German magazine Jolie.
'Personally I imagine it different, of course.'
We're so excited to hear that kids are on the horizon for 29-year-old Robert, who's loved up with uber-hip singer FKA Twigs.
'Sure I will have a child who is totally cool and confident' he joked. 'He or she will probably look at me every day and think, "Why is this guy such a funny, quirky oddball?"'
Can you hurry up and make this happen already Rob?!
