Rihanna puts on a VERY leggy display by working a cool jacket as a dress...
It's official — aside from Kate Middleton, nobody quite loves the coat dress as much as Rihanna. Over the last few months we've practically lost count on how many times she's stepped out wearing a cover-up as a frock, making it one of her most-used styling tricks to date.
Usually channelling the look with a long-line coat complete with a plunging neckline, Rihanna often balances out how much flesh she puts on show thanks to calf-grazing hemlines. However, for her latest public appearance, Rihanna took the coat dress trend to a whole new, seriously short level with, well, a jacket.
Stepping out to make her way into the Jimmy Kimmel Live TV studios in New York yesterday, 27-year-old RiRi completely shocked her fans by rocking her blue woollen texture jacket with next to nothing else... Yep, this look ain't for the faint-hearted.
We don't need to tell you that Rihanna has pins we'd kill to call our own but in the bitter cold of NYC, not only is this look jarring, it's very inadequate for battling the elements.
Accessorising her look with huge hoop earrings — we're talking the kind you wore when you were around 14 — and sexy lace up sandals, there's no denying that Rihanna looked HOT.
However, she's not the only A-lister to snap up these wrap-around heels. Just yesterday we spotted the gorgeous Elizabeth Banks rocking the very same pair and, after a bit of fashion detective work, we've tracked them back to footwear maestro Stuart Weitzman.
Aptly named the 'Legwrap', we reckon these sexy sandals are set to be the heel of the summer — after all, who are we to argue with the likes of Bad Gal?
Luckily for us, it's taking a while for EVERYONE to catch on and they're still fully stocked on StuartWeitzman.com for £415. We highly recommend snapping them up now before they go because, well, they just will.
Other than that, we reckon we'll leave the jacket-come-dress trend down to RiRi...
