New York Fashion Week was brought to a close last night with two of fashion’s most lust-worthy labels, Calvin Klein Collection and Ralph Lauren Collection.
Proving, as expected, to be well worth waiting for, Ralph Lauren Collection was first to hit the runway and front-rowers were transported to Latino climes with striped poncho shawls, Matador-style suits, slinky dresses topped with bolero jackets and ruffles aplenty.

In a palette predominated by black, white, gold and red, elegant dresses with tumbling silk skirts were teamed with tipped Cordobes hats and black neckties. A treat for tired eyes!
Calvin Klein Collection creative director Francisco Costa, meanwhile, kept things clean and deceptively simple for Spring Summer 2013. Sticking to monochrome tones, the Brazilian designer concentrated on clean shapes and contemporary layering in peplum minis, conical-shaped bustiers and First Lady frocks.
But now it’s London’s time! Stay tuned to InStyle.co.uk for all of the latest pics and news and follow us on Twitter for live tweets from the shows.
