If you always thought that your (secret) dream of strutting your stuff down a catwalk was never, ever likely to come true, then listen up: We've just found a way to make it happen! Not only that, but you could be accompanied by 10 celebs and a million other models on one single uber-runway.
Well, sort of. You see, it's more of a virtual runway, and it's all thanks to the wonder that is the world wide web.The Million Model Catwalk is the latest 'Fashion Targets Breast Cancer' fundraising initiative, which is trying to encourage one million women to join in their online runway and raise money for charity.
Confused? Simply upload a picture of yourself onto their website, select one of the many stylish outfits on offer, and then sit back and watch a virtual version of yourself storming down the runway alongside the likes of Sarah Ferguson, June Sarpong and Jade Jagger. Exciting, non?!
And it gets better. Some of our favourite high street and online retailers have jumped on board, meaning that you can actually get shopping — as in, real shopping, not virtual shopping — to raise some extra cash for a good cause. Topshop, River Island and Warehouse have all launched FTBC pieces, but we particularly love the sleek selection of clothes, accessories and jewellery available from mywardrobe.com — especially this beautiful multi-band ring. With 30% of sales going to charity, it’s the perfect excuse for some guilt free splurging.
