It was a style-packed weekend at New York Fashion Week! The hottest designers took to the runways to showcase their S/S 11 collections…
Simplicity is the buzz word surrounding many of the shows, with designers choosing fuss-free looks and nude palettes. Vanilla, silk, organza, dreamy bedtime looks are just some of the trends emerging from the likes of Alexander Wang, Derek Lam, BCBG and Jill Stuart.
Unveiling her fifth collection, Victoria Beckham kept with her intimate salon style presentation style and while there were some structured tailored dresses on display the majority was a bit more free ‘n’ easy. She opened with a draped parachute silk dress in ultraviolet knotted at the middle. We especially loved the Brian Atwood heels - at the request of VB herself, Brian Atwood made the rose gold platform heels to match her new Rolex.
So far NYC is proving to be a feast for the eyes, whether you like chic tailored pieces with little fuss or crazy mad-hat designs you will be happy. Keep coming back to InStyle to see all the pictures, from the models on the catwalks to the celebs on the front row.
