What to bring to a Doggy shower?
Last Sunday I was invited to celebrate the arrival or ‘MJ’ the Pomeranian. A venue had been hired, incredibly delicious cupcakes created and even doggy treat bags to take home filled with bone-shaped cookies. Being a doggy shower virgin, I had no idea what to bring as a gift – especially when ‘MJ’s’ parents are a bit of a fashion power couple. For anyone else attending a similar function, these are my five fail-safe recommendations:
- A baby blanket (apparently great for puppies too)
- Any kind of animal clothing (always looks cute, especially on small dogs)
- Dog perfume (because let’s face it, dogs can be a bit smelly)
- Stuffed toy (they’ll always need something to entertain them throughout the shower)
- Dog chocolate treats (just make sure they are meant for dogs!)
Donna Karan Celebrated the Arrival of Paul Andrew
This week Donna Karan New York hosted the launch of the fabulous Paul Andrew pop-up in their Conduit Street store. Brit-born Paul stopped in from LA to give us a personal tour of his Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Team InStyle will be sporting these rather gorgeous tasseled options (as soon as the sun comes out!).
lululemon Begins World Domination
Last night we partied with Canadian-born lululemon at their new store in West London. This is their second store in London and it is only a matter of time until their super-cool yoga and fitness apparel will be EVERYWHERE in the UK. Although it’s not scientifically proven, we fully believe the rumours that their running leggings and shorts give help give you the perfect behind! Fitness apparel as its best displayed by our Fashion Editor, Amy Bannerman below.
