Don’t you just love it when a global fashion brand uses its powers for good? Introducing Net-A-Porter’s latest launch in support of the Green Carpet Challenge.
Teaming up with five top British fashion designers including Erdem, Victoria Beckham, Christopher Bailey, Roland Mouret and Christopher Kane, the luxury e-tailer will launch a capsule collection that adheres to the GCC’s eco-friendly requirements.
Each designer has created two pieces to sell exclusively online at Net-A-Porter, with 20 per cent of the proceeds going to (RED) - the organisation set up by Bono to battle Aids, Malaria and Tuberculosis in Africa.
Victoria Beckham and co stepped out to launch the collection last night, attending an event hosted by Natalie Massenet, Anna Wintour and Livia Firth during London Fashion Week.
Talking about the collaboration, Victoria said, “I am thrilled to be able to be a part of this GCC project.
“The search for ethically sourced fabrics is something myself and my team have been actively looking at and developing, so seeing the options and possibilities through Livia and the GCC has been inspiring.”
VB has designed a black wool gown and sheer-panelled silk dress for the project.
Shop the collection from 17 September at Net-A-Porter.com. JB
