Naomi Campbell will be kicking LFW off with a Fashion for Relief show
London Fashion Week is almost upon us again – there's less than a month to go before the shows kick off – and this season looks set to be better than ever since news has arrived that Naomi Campbell will be kicking things off with her next Fashion for Relief charity show. And guess what? This is one fashion show not restricted to industry insiders – anyone can go.
'I'm thrilled to return to London to open London Fashion Week for this very special cause close to my heart,' said Campbell.
'The Fashion for Relief Show is an incredible event and this year we hope to raise more money than ever before. Raising awareness for Ebola and educating about its prevention is crucial to help prevent the spread of this deadly disease.'
This will be the eighth year for Fashion for Relief, which Naomi set up in 2007 as a fund-raising initiatives for various charities. Since its inception, the model has been joined in her charity efforts by some of her famous friends including Kate Moss (obvs), Diane von Furstenberg and David Walliams.
And given that the next show will be on home soil, we reckon this will be one of Naomi's most star-studded shows yet. We're hoping to see the likes of Kate Moss and Naomi's The Face co-star Erin O'Connor to make appearances on the catwalk, as well as a host of other stars. So if you want to bag yourself a seat on the FROW, we suggest you buy yourself a ticket now.
Fashion For Relief will take place on Thursday 19th February at Somerset House. Tickets are £50.
