The British fashion house and Cara, who is the face of the label, yesterday unveiled a new creative collaboration on a collection of bags. The big announcement was held in place of the label's usual catwalk show, which didn't take place this season owing to the absence of a creative director.
Most of our Brit fashion icons have had Mulberry bags named after them, but Cara Delevingne hasn't just lent her name to the collection, she helped design it, too.
And you can definitely see her influence on the new line. The bags, which come in quilted leather (choose from black, purple or green) or camouflage, are available as rucksacks or cross-body in three different sizes, giving Cara's (and her fans') penchant for the 90s an updated, luxe feel. The model thinks that everyone will love the bag, no matter what their age on gender.
'My Granny will like this bag. She’s one hundred and two years old. My five year old cousin will probably like this bag. He’s a boy,' Cara said.
As with any major fashion collaboration, Mulberry's big reveal was followed in the evening by a star-studded dinner. Wearing a daring cobalt suit and black strappy sandals, Cara mingled with fellow model and close pal Jourdan Dunn, as well as the likes of Nick Grimshaw andKelly Osbourne.
Cara's sisters Poppy and Chloe, as well as her parents, were all in attendance too, and Cara's rumoured girlfriend Michelle Rodriguez also came to support the model.
And it looks like Cara's relationship with Mulberry will be lasting a very long time...
