A one-off performance dramatising the story of the woman convicted of murdering Maurizio Gucci will be staged in London on October 13th.
Patrizia Reggiani Martinelli (former known as Patrizia Gucci) was jailed in 1995 for arranging for a hitman to kill her then husband, Maurizio Gucci.
British actress Julie Atherton will take on the role of Martinelli, who was released from prison last month.
Billed as a “musical about marriage, divorce, love, money and an infamous family curse”, Mrs Gucci promises to be a unique retelling of the events leading up to Gucci’s tragic death.
Mrs Gucci is at The Arts Theatre, WC2, on 13 October
