The glamourous catwalk creations just keep coming on day two of Milan Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 with collections from Prada, Emporio Armani and MaxMara hitting the runway.
Miucci Prada's highly anticipated Spring Summer 2013 fashion collection didn't disappoint! While there were elements of playfulness in Prada's mainline collection, it was an all together tougher and more serious affair than usual. Floral motifs unified the collection, starting out as stencil-effect forms on boxy shifts and separates, followed by Pop Art-style outlines, before graduating to more intricate embroidery, which evoked Japanese design. As for the palette, Miuccia gave a muted outlook for Spring, with colours varying from white and black to khaki, poppy-red to lightest pink.
Giorgio Armani succinctly summed up his latest Emporio Spring Summer 2013 fashion collection as "neat", and that it was. Catering to a youthful audience, it was fluid and feminine in silks and satins, with the majority of silhouettes cut well above the knee.
This season outerwear hero MaxMara took us on safari. There was a mannish approach to silhouettes, with jackets and blouses in slouchy, oversized cuts and featuring epaulets and plenty of pockets.
